Chip - Werecat sketchy

Okay, I thought up this REALLY strange story for Chip earlier, and was a bit dismayed because I wasn't sure I could pull off a suitable monster form for him (he's supposed to look monstery enough to scare poor stupid peasants, but to actually have a rather pathetic and comical look.)
But then I decided to try drawing it and I actually like this design.

I know he looks like a monkey because of his posture, but he's actually a sort of werecat.
I think a werelion to be a bit more exact.

He's kinda doubled over like that because he's half lion and half boy. So he has a REALLY funky posture. Sometimes when he's in a rush he'll run on all fours, but he usually lumbers around somewhat clumsily on his hind legs. He also doesn't walk on his toes like cats do, which makes him even more clumsy. When he runs on all fours he runs on his toes.

He can KINDA use his paws as hands but they're really clumsy and oafy and... claw-y. He generally hangs them uselessly in front of him when he's not pawing at something, much like cats do when they stand on their hind legs to sniff at something. Also somewhat for balance. Similarly, his tail is really short and stumpy, since he's not a full lion, and his ears are on the sides of his head, but bigger than normal people ears (obviously.)
I was gonna give him little vestigal wings, but decided against it (though I guess that would make him a weresphinx! That might be kinda neat I dunno, what do you guys thing?)

He's more or less naked, though really only most of his torso is at all human. He has no fur on his face or ears, which is weird.

Basically he started out human, some witch (Melany, playing an evil role in this one!) decided to spite her parents, and since he was smitten with her he allowed her to curse him. He's very acquiescent to her in the hopes that she'll someday love her back. Unlike most werethings, he actually keeps his mind even when in his werecat form, though he'll do whatever Melany says, which is oftimes very unpleasant.
She pretty much likes to torture the poor kid by making him terrorize the locals, but he's just regular old nice guy Chip under all the fur and teeth and claws.

He actually let her place the jewel thing on his forehead (it's probably a rare moonstone or something, pun intended!) and she can control his tranformation. She likes to keep him in quasi-form to mess with him, and except for her parents, she won't let him interact with other humans except on a monstery basis. Sometimes she turns him into a full lion, but she prefers to keep him in his weird form.
The only time she lets him resume human form is when her parents are around, as she is using him as her "chosen mate" around her parents. Apparently all witches like to curse their future husbands. Unfortuantely Melany doesn't particularly care about Chip at first, so when he's not fulfilling his fiancee role, she's having way too much fun with him. She doesn't allow him to talk in wereform, or wear clothes and she treats him like an animal.

Eventually she falls in love with him after she starts to think about why he does whatever she wants, even if he hates doing those things and hates his form and he's very sad because she doesn't love him back. She tells him constantly that he's free to go whenever he wants, he just has to take the jewel off, as she wants to see how far she can push him before he splits, but he sticks around, and sleeps at the foot of her bed to protect her (in liony form! Teehee!)
So his tenacity ends up paying off (though why anybody would want to marry a witch is beyond me!)
Oh, and I think, contrary to normal werethings, that the moonstone looses power at night, so that he's free to choose his bedtime form.
It's a weird witchy stone, kind of like a reverse engagement ring. It kind of mentally links the guy to the witch, so Chip knows what Melany wants. So if she wants him in a particular form at night, he'll oblige, though he doesn't have to. He's just that nice (and in love.) Melany's being SUPER defiant to her parents, because it's a very serious commitment for a witch to give a guy her moonstone. She's born with one on her brow, and wears it until she finds a suitor that she approves of. It's kind of bad for the guy because it makes them like the witch more, as well as linking them mentally, though there already has to be some strong feelings there for it to work. But it's somewhat self-defense, because most guys in their right minds wouldn't date a witch. I guess in Melany's case it kind of works in reverse. She can read Chip's mind, and knows how he feels about her (though the guy can't usually get free access into the witch's mind unless she lets him.) So at first she thinks it's pretty damn funny this idiot lets her do all kinds of crazy mean stuff, cause it really hurts him to go around doing things like that, but then later starts to feel bad, and then finally falls for him.

Anyway, that is the reason for his retarded form!
I don't like this one as much as his demony form though, but he's kind of cute (in a pathetic way) even if he is pretty silly looking.
And uh, I have to work on the story a lot, but that's the basic, confusing, unorganized premise.
